to understand the task of the accesssequence.
It then explains several aspects of handling conditions, for example, in the
documentheader,anddescribesthesignificanceofpricingtypes.
Thislessonpreparesyouforthenextunit,onconfiguringpricing.
Lesson Objectives
After completingthislesson, you will beable to:
• Explainthemeaningofpricingproceduresforpricing
• Describepricingproceduresandaccesssequences
• Describethespecialfeaturesofheaderconditions
• Control new pricing using thepricing type
Business Example

Introducing the Pricing Procedure

Figure 5: Pricing Procedure- Examples ofControlFields
Customizing for pricing procedures contains a variety of attributes that can
influenceprocessingoftheindividual conditiontypes.
• The levelin the pricing procedure determines the sequence in which the
conditionsareprocessedandplacedinthesalesdocument(whereapplicable).
• The pricing procedure can contain any number of subtotals. To define
subtotals, leave “Condition Type” field blank and enter a name for the
subtotal in the “Description” field.
• The reference level lets you define an alternative base for calculating
the condition value (the default base is the current value resulting from
processingthepreviousconditiontypes)andfor consolidatingconditions
for subtotals.
• Youcanalsospecifyrequirementstodeterminehowthesystemistousethe
individual condition types.
• Youcanmarkaconditiontypeinthepricingprocedureasbeing:
– A mandatory condition
– Aconditionthatcan onlybeenteredmanually(any existing access
sequence is ignored in this case)
– Aconditionusedforstatistical purposesonly
There are also several technical attributes, such as calculation formula, base
formula,andprintindicator,whichwewilllearnaboutlaterinthecourse.
