SCM620 Lesson: Customizing Pricing Components

The information required to add new pricing fields is available in the IMG

documentation. Searchfor Salesand Distribution →SystemModification→

CreateNewFields(Using Condition Technique).

• To solve particular problems, you need to build and link all the pricing

components creatively. You can characterize the individual elements

concisely as follows:

– Conditiontable–defineskeyfieldsoftheconditionrecords

– Accesssequence–Containsthehierarchyforconditionrecordaccess

– Conditiontype–Representsthepropertiesofthepricingconditions

– Pricingprocedure–Defineshowtheconditiontypesarelinked

– Proceduredetermination–Selectsthecorrectpricingprocedure

Meeting particular pricing requirementsmay require one or more new pricing

components. Understanding the purpose and capabilities of each component

and the relationships between pricing components is critical to meet pricing

requirements.

• Thefollowingelementsmaybenecessarytoimplementcomplexscenarios:

– Addingnewfieldsforpricing–Createsnewfieldstomeetcustomer

requirements

– Requirements–Definesdependenciesandimprovesperformance

– Formulas–Enablesexpandingthelimitsofstandardconfiguration

Newfieldsmaybeaddedtothepricingfieldcatalog. Thisallowsyoutousethe

pricing logic to meet uniqueuser requirements.

SAP provides toolsto create these pricing elements. These tools are accessed

through the IMG.
