Lesson Overview

• Returning follow-up costs online to CO

• Real-time integration CO -> FI

Lesson Objectives

After completingthislesson, youwillbeable to:

• ... Understand how follow-up costs can be distributed in CO online and

decidewhetherthismethodwouldbegoodforyourcompany

• ... Configureandusethereal-timeintegrationofControllingwithFinancial

With release R/3 4.7, crediting the original CO account assignment with the

amount of the cash discount was still only possible by (periodically) running

program SAPF181 (=>profitand lossadjustment):

• Theprogramtransferredtheamountfromthedefaultaccountassignment

(=>transactionOKB9)totheoriginalCOaccountassignment.

• AdirectlinkbetweentheFIandCOdocumentswasnotpossible.

* In general, the post-capitalized objects are “real” CO objects. However,

in principle “statistical” objects can also be post-capitalized: In this case, the

documentsplittingdoesnotdifferentiatebetween“real”and“statistical”objects.

Hint: However,thisisdifferentintheupdateinthenewgeneralledger,

or in the FI tables, for example, when using the scenario Cost Center

If“CO->FIReal-timeIntegration”isconfigured,anFIfollow-ondocument

• Even if more than one ledger is defined in the general ledger, the CO

Note: For existingSAPcustomers, theactivationdate for theCO->FI

Totransfersecondary(actual)costelementsfromCOtoFI,youhavetodefine

an account determination. You define this account determination under:

Note: It is also feasible even to transfer primary costs to FI through

account determination, although it usually makes most sense to work

with the original cost elements here.
