Symptom

Some bank statements appear as “not posted” (Red indicator) in transaction FEBA/FEBAN even if they really were posted on the right account.

Reproducing the Issue

In transaction FEBA/FEBAN some statements are incorrectly marked as “not posted” (Red indicator).

Cause

When a posting is done outside of FEBA/FEBAN to clear the item, the status for the item is not updated automatically. Post processing clearings should be made in FEBA/FEBAN to prevent this system behavior.

Resolution

Use the program RFEBKA90 to change the bank statement status. This works according to the statement short key (KUKEY) which is stored in FEBKO table.

This program sets to "posted" all line items of a bank statement or a check deposit list which do not have "posted" status. The bank statement header record (FEBKO) also receives this status.

If you use this program, make sure that manual posting has actually been carried out for the line items with changed status.

As stated in the documentation, please check first if all line items of these statements are processed completely (meaning all postings are made). Otherwise, this will lead to inconsistencies.

This reports only sets the status to “posted” (Green indicator), it does not carry out any checks.

Steps

Access transaction SE38 and run the program RFEBKA90;

Fill the statement short key (KUKEY) and the status with value 8(Posted).
