Lesson: Grouping and Collective Processing

Lesson Duration: 40 Minutes

35

Lesson Overview

Aswithcostcenters,youcancombineoverheadordersinhierarchically-arranged

groups. Here you learn to group orders and process a number of them with

collective processing.

Lesson Objectives

After completingthislesson, youwillbeable to:

• Collect orders into order groups

• Processordersinbothmanualandautomaticcollectiveprocessing

The instructor should show how to group orders and how to process them

collectively(usingsubstitutionasanexample),bothmanuallyandautomatically.

Business Example

You want to group orders and use these groups in planning and settling costs,

calculatingoverhead,andcreatingreports. Youwanttofamiliarizeyourselfwith

You can assign an order to multiple groups, but you cannot define a standard
