1. Assessment Cycle: ( Configuration)
1.1. Create Assessment Cost Element
Purpose
Assessment is the method provided by sap to allocate primary and secondary cost element from one cost center to other CO object
This method is designed to group together multiple cost element and reclassify them as a single secondary cost element while simultaneously allocating them the original cost element are not displayed on the receivers. Allocation through assessment is useful when the composition of the cost is unimportant for the receiver.
Menu Path
SPRO à Controlling à Cost center accounting àPlanning à allocations à Assessment à Create Assessment Cost Element.
Enter Controlling area : 1900
Click on save button.
1.2 . Define Allocation Structure.
If the assessment of each segment is not made with a pre-defined assessment cost element you can assign the source cost element to the desired assessment cost element in the allocation structure during cycle definition enter the allocation structure instead of an assessment cost element in the segment.
1.1 Define Assessment
A method of internal cost allocation by which the costs of a sender cost center are allocated to receiver CO objects (such as orders and other cost centers) using an assessment cost element and on the basis of the keys defined by the user.
The SAP system supports the following
Hierarchical method (where the user determines the assessment sequence)
Iterative method (where the system determines the sequence of assessment using iteration

1.1 Primary Cost planning on Cost Center
Purpose
Planning functions start the cost center accounting module with primary cost planning primary cost expenses are salaries & wages, Power and Fuel, engineering services, travel expenses , miscellaneous expenses.
Trigger
This transaction is used to post the planning primary cost to cost center.
Prerequisites
Check whether you select the correct cost planner profile
Menu Path : SAP easy Access à Accounting à Controlling à Cost center Accounting à Planning à Cost and Activity Inputs à KP06 – Change.
Initial screen
Purpose
Assessment is the method of cost allocation by which you allocate cost from a sending cost center to the receiver cost center using secondary assessment cost element
Trigger
This session used to execute the assessment Cycle.
Prerequisites
Assessment cycle has been maintained for the upcoming Planning year.

Thanks for the information. Is there a way I can modify a cycle to allocate something from one cost element to another? I mean, two different cost elements, same cost center... Please let me know. Thanks!
