Symptom
The plan activity price has been changed in transaction KP26 (Cost Center Accounting). The new plan activity price is not considered during new confirmation postings (e.g. CO11N).

Reproducing the Issue
Enter transaction KP26.
Fill in input parameters.
The new plan activity price is not considered during new confirmation postings.
Cause
The activity update in the plant is '2' means that the activity update is relevant to price determination. Therefore, the plan price that is used for the first confirmation in a period is written to the Material Ledger table CKMLLACR and is used for all other confirmations in that period. This price is “frozen” in table CKMLLACR. The plan activity price needs to be stable during one period. Customizing path: Controlling - Product Cost Controlling - Actual Costing/Material Ledger - Actual Costing - Activate Actual Costing:
Resolution
The plan price still can be changed in the Cost Center Accounting transactions (e.g. KP26) as it might be also used in plants where the Material Ledger is not active. However, the change in KP26 does not have any effect on the activity plan price that is used in the plant where the Material Ledger is active.
This is not an inconsistency but the design of the system with activity update '2'. The price that has been used for the first confirmation can be displayed via the transaction CKMLLA. At the end of the period, the differences between plan activity price and actual activity price are distributed directly to the materials in step “Multilevel price determination” in transaction CKMLCP or CKMLCPAVR.
